How CallScrib compares
See how CallScrib stacks up against every major meeting intelligence tool. We're the only Teams app that's invisible, covers phone calls, and is immune to bot bans.
Microsoft and Google are blocking meeting bots in 2026
Starting mid-2026, Microsoft Teams will detect and flag third-party bots that join meetings. Meeting organizers will see bots listed under “Suspected threats” in the lobby, and admins can block them entirely with tenant-wide policies. Google Meet has also started flagging third-party AI notetaker bots as a security risk.
Bot-based tools like TeamsMaestro, Fireflies, Otter.ai, Gong, and Fathom will be directly affected. CallScrib uses Microsoft's Graph API on Teams and local audio capture via the Desktop Agent on other platforms — no bot ever joins — so it works seamlessly with these new policies.
